MIDI MONDAY NEW YEARS EDITION: Goyte feat. Kimbra - Someday I Used To Know

According to Billboard this is the top song of the year beating out Call Me Maybe and We Are Young. Now we here at Netscape Navigators are all about One Direction and Harry Styles (ultimate dreamboat) but fair is fair and just like Adele had her day in the sun last year, so will Goyte. Though we will do One Direction eventually because how could we not? But alas today is not the day and what a bummer. So enjoy this all of you, have a good new year and don’t forget to spay and neuter your pets.

I think I may have legitimately enjoyed a midi of Call Me Maybe

Just for you Landon tomorrow im posting a Call Me Maybe Midi.

MIDI APOCALYPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are reading this then the world didn’t end at 6:11am EST as it was suppose to which I guess is cool isn’t it? Congratulations on seeing 12/21/2012 join the long line of other failed end of the world dates. Now we could turn this into a discussion regarding what it is that makes us all seemingly crave the end of existence through forces we can’t control.  But lets not do that, instead I say bust out the champagne and enjoy that you get to live your sad existence for at least some time more. But hey now you get to do it with this sweet ass midi! So not everything is terrible right? And if the world does end then I can rest in peace knowing that my last act on this world was having this midi go out to all of you. What a beautiful send off for humanity don’t you think?

Well 11:11 UTC is past. What a bummer. Worst end of the world ever.

midi monday: green day - boulevard of broken dreams

we here at netscape navigators don’t want to specifically endorse anyone for president, but when you go to the polls tomorrow i just want you to think about the fact that voting for romney may have an effect on this country you never even considered: green day making another american idiot. i know nobody wants that, so i hope all of you will make the right choice.

MIDI MONDAY GUEST POST BY Ashley aka JEWCATS: Ol Dirty Bastard - Got Your Money

If you’re like me you have a very special place in your heart for ODB despite the fact that you can only understand about a third of what he says. So I’ma go ahead and dedicate this midi to all the pretty girls in the world, and the ugly girls too, cuz to me you’re pretty anyways, baby

To acquire this midi i had to join a special cell phone message board that was rather shady looking. Then I had to post 5 times because to download anything from the site you need special privileges only available to those members with at least 5 posts. So somewhere on a shady cellphone site is me proclaiming my love of badminton, New York Rangers, Facebook, Soccer and I forgot what the 5th thing I posted on was. But for this midi and jewcats guest post it was worth it.

MIDI Song of the Week:

The Smiths - The Boy With The Thorn In His Side

As Morrissey has been making news lately for being himself I felt why not go with something a bit off the beaten path when it comes to MIDIs. We’ve mostly done pop hits of the 90s and while I don’t plan to really stop doing those mostly I thought why not for one week do something a bit more alternative in flavor. I really think that the MIDI format captures the despair, sadness, longing and just overall perfection that is Steven Patrick Morrissey and his eternal quest to find someone who loves him even half as much as he loves himself. I really think so, no? Enjoy.

here is the issue i’m having i was going to limit myself to just reblogging like 5 midi’s but every midi is the best midi ever so i will limit myself to 3 more after this i promise!

A Midi dedication to the Wind Beneath My Wings, the one and only, Stacia. While I have multiple versions of this midi i decided that really only this, the most lush and grand version of it, is the way to go because Stacia deserves the best. So this ones for you! Because you are awesome as can be.

MIDI MONDAY: Radiohead - Karma Police

So if everyone thinks Radiohead is brilliant and everyone also knows MIDI files are brilliant does that mean that a Radiohead MIDI would be so brilliant it transcends this plane of existence to enter a more enlightened one? The answer is yes, absolutely.

moving! THIS IS MOVING!

Midi Monday: Weezer - El Scorcho

Oh Rivers Cuomo you sweet beautiful man full of loneliness and frustration. Your music spoke to my emo kid soul before I knew I that soul existed. May your glory live forever in this mid and all midi’s.

midi monday: evanescence - bring me to life

it’s your first day at school. 8th grade. junior high. you’re a little nervous but you try not to show it. you smooth back your hair. it’s straight, long and black as night. your friends call you raven, because you told them to. you carry your portable cd player discreetly in the front pocket of your linkin park hoodie. evanescence’s fallen is on repeat, as it has been all summer long. you walk into the bathroom. check your eyeliner in the mirror. perfection. you untuck your pentagram necklace from inside your shirt and lay it proudly against your chest. no more body glitter, platform wedges or cheerleading camp. there is only darkness now. my spirit sleeping somewhere cold, you mouth along with amy lee. a girl comes out of the stall behind you and makes a face when she sees your striped kneesocks and puffy skirt that you got at hot topic. you sneer back at her. fuck off, prep.

I am very proud of Stacia for writing this. And for picking this. Stacia is cool guys. Also follow us if you don’t.
